FLAGSTONE - Flat irregular shaped stone varying in thickness from ½” (ultra thin) to 2 ½” thick or thicker. It is ideal for patios, walkways, and flooring.
BUILDING STONE - Irregular shaped stone, 3” to 5” in thickness most often used for building exteriors, fireplaces, retaining walls as well as many other projects. Most building stone will cover approximately 40 square feet per ton. Often called Oklahoma Building Stone.
CHOPPED STONE - Natural stone chopped or sawed into rectangle brick-like shapes usually 3” to 5” in thickness (to match depth of a brick ledge in home or commercial construction) and in random lengths from 8” to 48”, heights usually of 4”, 6”, or 8”. Chopped stone is used for home and commercial building exteriors, fireplaces, retaining walls, flower bed edging, etc. Most varieties of chopped stone will cover approximately 40 square feet per ton.
SLABS - Large flat stones from 1” to 14” thick an ideal stone for patios, steps, retaining walls or other creative uses. Slabs are often used in waterfall construction. Coverage depends on the stones thickness.
RIVER OR CREEK ROCK - Smooth rounded stones from ¼” in diameter to 24" in diameter. Often used in construction of waterfalls and dry creek beds to fill in flower beds or to cover non-mow areas. Larger stones can be used for building exteriors, fireplaces, mailboxes, edging, However are often used in retaining walls, ponds, or waterfall construction. Coverage depends on the stones diameter.
BOULDERS OR MOSS BOULDERS - Decorative boulders range in size about 8” (the size of a cantaloupe) up to several tons as much as 5’ or 6’ across or larger. They are primarily used to accent yards or flower bed areas. However are often used in retaining walls, ponds, or waterfall construction. Coverage depends on the stones diameter.
MINI MOSS BOULDERS - Range in size from about 4” to 8’ in diameter. They are primarily used to accent yards or flower bed areas. However are often used in retaining walls, ponds, or waterfall construction. Coverage depends on the stones diameter.
THIN VENEER NATURTAL STONE - Thin veneer natural stone is sawed from a variety of natural stones. Thin veneer can be cut from building stone or chop stone of varying variety such as Austin, Oklahoma Chop, Granbury, or any other suitable stone. The biggest advantage to thin veneer is weight reduction. Thin veneer usually weighs approximately 1/3 as much as full bed depth stone. This makes them especially useful in remodels, and in areas above roof lines. They are thinner than full bed depth stone by about 75% which makes them useful under counter tops, bars, or on interior walls.
AUSTIN STONE - Austin Stone is a natural limestone material that is either quarried as a building stone (irregular shaped) or sawed into varying course heights from 1" to 10" however 4", 6", and 8" heights are the most common sizes. Austin Stone varies in color from white, to cream, to rust (nicotine, or tobacco). These colors are often blended together in the same project and are used in both residential and commercial construction.
LUEDERS STONE - Lueders Stone is commonly known as Lueders Limestone. It is a very hard stain resistant material. Lueders, is chopped or sawed depending upon look desired. Course height usually varies from 4" to 14" in course height. Colors vary from light grays to tans and caramels depending upon quarry location.
GRANBURY STONE - Granbury Stone is a natural stone material that is either quarried as a building stone (irregular shaped) or quarry chopped into varying course heights from 4" to 8" in height. Granbury varies in color from white, to cream with the occasional rust color. These colors are often blended together in the same project and are used in both residential and commercial construction.
CASTLE STONE BLEND - Castle Stone Blend is a blend of 3 materials. We see this stone blend used on primarily larger homes however we also use it for accents on other homes. This is a very reasonably priced material with many great qualities.
WASHED ROCK - Washed Rock is a term used to describe several different types of gravel that have been washed to remove the fines or dust from them. Washed Rock can be used to top private drives, beds, or even entire yards. Materials commonly washed include river rock, pea gravel, and granite.
BASE ROCK - Base Rock is a material used to build private drives and public roadways. Base Rock is basically gravel mixed with fines or dust; it will set up or harden when compacted.
DECOMPOSED GRANITE - Decomposed Granite or DG as it is commonly known is a granite material that over time has been broken down naturally or weathered. DG makes a great walking path. It is also used in private drives and public road construction.
SAND - There are several types of sands Mortar or Brick Sand, Cushion Sand, Ball Field Sand, Texas Green Sand, Lava Sand, Granite Sand, and more.
